The event aims to raise the profile of the city. It will be enjoyed by everyone from all backgrounds. It will create a platform for recognizing and celebrating the local traditions of growing, storing, preserving and making various types of traditional food and drink and it will celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Sudan.
The festival includes exhibitions, several outdoor activities such as live cooking demonstrations, traditional music and dance performances, a children’s entertainment area, local handmade craft market and traditional villages and a traditional food market representing the rich cultural diversity and artistic heritage of Sudan.
The Sudan Traditional Food Festival is a 4-day event taking place in the Khartoum International Fair grounds (22-25 November 2017). The event celebrates the diverse local traditions of growing, storing, preserving and making various types of traditional food and drinks in addition to the traditional dance and music associated with all various cultures represented in Sudan

The festival will be open from 11am - 4pm and from 6pm - 11pm on the 22nd - 25th of November
